Principal's Message
Dr Nguyen Danh Nguyen
Since established in 1965, the School of Economics and Management (formerly Department of Economics and Management) at Hanoi University of Science and Technology has been dedicated to training leaders for enterprises and industries by offering a wide range of academic programs, including bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs.
For almost 60 years of development, SEM has had success in education, research, technology transfer, business support and international cooperation. Thus, SEM possesses a high reputation nationwide as well as worldwide. SEM now has highly qualified and committed faculties and staffs. We have been trying our best to improve domestic and international research collaboration and attract more investment in educational equipment and infrastructure. Students and faculties are open to various opportunities to enhance their capabilities through exchange programs with well-known universities in France, Germany, or Finland.
Orientation of Development
The School keeps close collaboration with industries via scientific conferences, researches, and consulting contracts to enable students to become self-motivated and confident in their career pathways. Academic programs are constantly reviewed and revised to best match with industries’ needs.
-To incorporate field study into the curriculum through collaboration with enterprises and other short-term training programs;
- Provide consulting services to businesses;
- Promote international cooperation in building capacity, developing curriculum and pedagogy.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all of the hard work and empowerment provided by managing boards, valued partners, generations of faculties, staffs, and students in the last six decades. We strongly believe that SEM will soon become one of the most reliable and competitive institutes to nurture business leaders and one of the most trustworthy consulting centers for industries in Viet Nam.
